Learn about NEWYOUNG's under-eye UltraCol approach, which assesses the extent of hollows, orbital anatomy, and the transition to the upper cheek before tailoring injection method and distribution by area.

UNDER EYE ULTRACOL

Rather than simply adding volume,

we gently refine unevenness

under the eyes.

About the treatment

The under-eye area is among the most delicate and difficult parts of the face to treat.

Because the skin is thin, even small differences in volume can create shadows and a tired look. Poorly planned treatment can instead cause unnatural protrusion, lumps, or the appearance of nodules.

Under-eye UltraCol at NEWYOUNG CLINIC is not about filling the area as much as possible.

We aim to soften hollows, shadows, slight fat protrusion, and uneven boundaries that often appear from the thirties and forties onward. For us, the goal is a natural transition from under-eye to upper cheek and a more youthful, rested appearance.

We therefore assess more than the hollow itself: orbital anatomy, protruding under-eye fat, the transition to the upper cheek, and skin thickness. We apply only the amount of UltraCol needed, where it is needed, with precision.

How NEWYOUNG Under-Eye UltraCol Works

01 First, assess the extent of under-eye hollowing

A. Where the hollow continues B. Transition to the upper cheek

We look beyond the hollow that is immediately visible

to assess its actual extent and how it connects with the upper cheek.

02 Consider orbital anatomy and bony margins

A. Orbital rim B. Bone shape and transition

The under-eye area is closely related to the bony orbit around the eye. Considering its rim and shape helps us create a natural transition rather than simply fill a depression.

03 Distinguish flat, hollow, and protruding areas

A. Protruding area B. Hollow area C. Flat area

The under-eye area is not uniformly hollow.

Fat may also protrude forward, making another part look raised.

We distinguish flat, hollow, and protruding areas when planning treatment.

04 Plan the transition from under-eye to upper cheek

A. Contour from the under-eye area B. Line continuing into the upper cheek

Treating the under-eye in isolation can look unnatural.

Because its hollows are seen in relation to upper-cheek volume, we plan a smooth transition between the two.

05 Tailor the method to each area

A. Application suited to the area B. Adjust amount, depth, and distribution

We do not treat every part of the under-eye in the same way.

We distinguish hollows, sharp boundaries, protrusions, and thinner skin, then adjust the amount, injection layer, and distribution accordingly.

06 Seek natural smoothness, not excessive volume

A. Gently refine the boundaries

The aim of under-eye UltraCol is not to make the area completely flat.

Rather than overfill it, we seek to reduce unevenness between hollows and protrusions and soften a tired appearance naturally.

07 Distribute precisely to reduce lumps and nodules

A. Account for thin skin B. Avoid product concentration in one place

Because UltraCol is intended to stimulate collagen formation,

careful distribution is especially important in thin areas such as under the eyes to avoid concentrating product in one spot.

08 Treatment standards informed by experience as an UltraCol KOL (Key Opinion Leader)

A. Anatomical understanding and treatment experience

Medical Director Dr. SeoJoon Oh has trained clinicians and treated patients as a global UltraCol KOL.

Our under-eye UltraCol approach draws on that experience and a detailed understanding of under-eye anatomy and age-related change to pursue natural-looking results.
